S&T Bancorp has announced its latest member to the board of directors.
The parent company of S&T Bank is welcoming Peter Gurt to the board. He has 35 years of academic leadership and community engagement experience. Since 2014, he has been the president of the Milton Hershey School and under his leadership, the school has seen its student population grow to over 2200 students, which is an all-time high for the school. He has also served as the president of the Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning, a network of early childhood education centers across Pennsylvania.
S&T Board Chair Christine Toretti said that his commitment to childhood education and dedication to the community will make him a great asset for the board. Gurt said that he looks forward to working with the company to advance its strategic growth.
