Prior to tonight’s game against Florida, the Penguins announced Wells Oliver as their new Director of Hockey Systems.
Oliver spent the last 15 years with the San Diego Padres as the Vice President of Baseball Systems. He will mainly lead digital needs for the Penguins’ hockey operations department, notably data architecture and web application solutions.
Oliver also spent five years as a consultant with the Calgary Flames.
