Cornerback Cory Trice, Jr., was activated from injured reserve yesterday afternoon and he is expected to suit up for the Steelers on Sunday when they host the Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium. He has been out since Week 3 when he suffered a hamstring injury against the Los Angeles Chargers but practiced in full all this week.
Defensive lineman Cam Heyward was the only player missing from practice yesterday as he was given a rest day. Calvin Austin III, who remains in concussion protocol, and linebacker Alex Highsmith were full participants.
Defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi was selected as the Steelers’ nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which recognizes players for their excellence on and off the field. Ogunjobi started the First of Many Foundation that helps first-generation kids whose parents are immigrants find a better life in the U.S. The foundation focuses on mental health resources, childhood obesity, and mentorship.
This year’s winner of the Man of the Year Award will be announced February 6th during the NFL Honors awards show.
