IUP’s Nyshae’ Weaver is the PSAC West Athlete of the Week in women’s basketball. She had two double-doubles in wins over Shepherd and West Chester last weekend.
Against Shepherd, Weaver shot 12-of-13 from the field and scored 26 points with 16 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Against West Chester, she scored 18 points, making 8 of 11 field goal attempts, and had 13 rebounds.
BELLA
Indiana High grad Bella Antonacci is the presidents Athletic Conference player of the Week. The freshman at Allegheny College averaged 23.5 points per game and shot 57 percent (20-for-35) from the field, almost getting a triple-double in a win over Geneva, with 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Then on Saturday she scored 32 points, shooting 14-for-22 from the floor and adding four rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.
