Plea and sentencing hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas, including one for a Blairsville man arrested earlier this year for a shots fired incident in Blairsville.
Court documents show that 29-year-old Cameron Boneta pleaded guilty to charges of carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and public drunkenness for an incident at 9:19 PM on June 5th for the incident in the area of West Iron Alley and South Walnut Street. When they got there, they found Boneta under the influence of alcohol and found a 9mm pistol recently fired on his person. Boneta resisted officers when they attempted to place him in the patrol vehicle and once they were able to get him inside, they searched the area and found five empty casings.
