The Penguins are back at work today to get ready for this weekend’s back-to-back games against the Islanders. They’ll play in New York on Saturday, facing off at 7:30 and in Pittsburgh on Sunday at 5:30. They will play one more game in 2024, at Detroit on New Year’s Eve.
The NHL’s roster freeze thaws out tomorrow. No teams have been able to change their rosters since December 19th, except for injury replacements.
