The Pirates have not yet announced the signing of outfielder Tommy Pham to a one-year contract, and when they do, they will have to make a corresponding move on the Major League roster. Pham is the fifth player to agree to a Major League deal this offseason, following DH Andrew McCutchen, infielder/outfielder Adam Frazier, and pitchers Caleb Ferguson and Tim Mayza.
Spring training begins on Wednesday with the first workouts for pitchers and catchers.
