Cancellations and Closings:
- Due to the threat of inclement weather, Purchase Line School District is canceling all afterschool activities.
- Due to the Winter Weather Advisory, the Community Guidance Center (793 Old Rte 119 Hwy N, Indiana) will be closing today at 4:00 pm for in-person programs and services. If you have a scheduled appointment 4:00 pm or later, a representative from CGC will be in contact with you regarding your appointment or program.
Regular office hours will resume Thursday, February 13, 2025. - Penns Manor School District has rescheduled tonight’s board meeting to tomorrow, February 13th at 7, due to the threat of inclement weather.
- Punxsutawney Area School District has moved the Homer-Center at Punxsutawney HS basketball girls/boys varsity doubleheader from today at 6 pm to tomorrow (02/13/25), though the notice does not specifically say that it’s due to expected inclement weather.
Freezing rain is in the forecast for later today, particularly in eastern areas of Indiana County. Stay tuned for more weather-related cancellations and closings.
Advisories and warnings remain in effect for areas north of I-80 and at higher elevations, where freezing rain remains possible later today and tonight.
