State police are seeking help in identifying a suspect involved in five incidents of theft from a motor vehicle between February 18 and 19 in White Township.
Troopers say the thefts happened in parking lots and areas of several businesses along Oakland Avenue and Lilac Street, and several items were taken during that time, including a loaded Rock Island Armory 1911 45-caliber pistol, a backpack containing an Apple MacBook, a purse/wallet, and money.
Surveillance footage obtained during a canvass showed the suspect leaving the Ben Franklin Sheetz on foot towards Shelly Drive. Troopers describe them as a white male with a medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white Nike swoosh on the front, a black beanie, a black backpack, black gloves, black sweatpants, and black shoes with white soles.
If you have information, call the Troop A barracks at 724-357-1960. Troopers also remind you to lock vehicles and secure firearms.
