On Monday night, the Indiana School Board approved replacing the roof on the Junior High building.
The project’s cost is estimated at $716,050. Buildings/Grounds and Transportation committee chairman Tom Harley said that the current roof is over 25 years old there are some moisture problems with the roof, but no leaks currently.
He added that the board is considering the options for warranties. While the proposal accepted tonight was for a 20-year warranty, contractor CE Davis offered a chance to get a 30-year warranty for an additional cost. The board will consider that option for the next few weeks.
Also, the board approved the audit performed by Kotzan CPA and Associates for 2023-24, which was a clean report for that fiscal year.
