The state house and senate budget hearings continue this week.
The House Appropriations Committee will meet with the Department of Education today, the departments of State and Labor and Industry on Tuesday; the Attorney General, Agriculture and Judiciary on Wednesday; and Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and environment along with the department of Aging on Thursday.
The Senate appropriations committee hearings resume tomorrow with the DEP and Aging departments meeting that day. Wednesday’s hearings will involve the Department of Education, and on Thursday, they will meet with the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Community and Economic Development.
This week will mark the second of three weeks of hearings to prepare the final state budget, which is due on June 30th.
