One person suffered minor injuries in a crash Thursday afternoon in Blairsville Borough.
Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters, Blairsville Borough Police and Citizens’ Ambulance were dispatched to Route 22 West near Dean’s Diner around 12:30 p.m. after a car struck a telephone pole.
Ab Dettorre with the Blairsville Fire Department said a car driving in the westbound lane swerved and hit a telephone pole while trying to avoid a collision with another car that tried turning onto the roadway. The driver of the first car suffered minor injuries and refused treatment from EMTs, and the telephone pole did not need replaced.
Blairsville Borough Police have not released an official crash report or the identities of the drivers yet.
