The United Way of Indiana County will wrap up the 2024-25 fundraising campaign today with an event at the Indiana Country Club.
This year’s annual fundraising drive started August 16th with a carnival in a Downtown Indiana parking lot and included several of the traditional fundraising events, including the Turkeython on Indiana in the Morning, Pancake and Sausage day on Election day, and the Soup-er Bowl last month. The keynote event for this year’s fundraiser was the Big Balloon Build, where balloon artists from all over the world came to Indiana to make giant inflatable structures and landscapes representing parts of Indiana County. The result was a weekend gala that packed the S&T Bank Arena.
During today’s event, the final total for the amount raised will be announced. This year’s goal was $888,888. Campaign Chair Clinton Smith said that if the goal is reached, it would mark the most amount of money raised in the history of the United Way of Indiana County.
The event will start at 3:00 this afternoon.
