Former Pitt big man John Hugley IV, who will enter his sixth season of eligibility, will now play across town for Duquesne. He went from the Panthers to Oklahoma then to Xavier before returning to Western PA to play for the Dukes.
Meanwhile, the Panthers did land a new big man, in center Dishon Jackson from Iowa State. This cements the verbal commitment on April 4th made by the 6-foot-11 270 pounder. He averaged 8.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 18.7 minutes per game this season for Iowa State. He started 33 of 35 games.
