Additional work has been scheduled for the Indiana Bypass project, and another interchange will be closed for repairs in early May.
PennDOT originally reported that starting at 6:00 PM Friday and going to 6:00 AM Monday, the Route 422 offramp to Oakland Avenue will be closed for repairs, including milling and repaving. A detour using parts of Route 119 and 422 will be set up. This morning, the agency announced that the Route 286 eastbound on-ramp will shut down from May 2nd to the 5th for similar repair work. Motorists will use 286 to Ben Franklin Road, then to Business Route 422 and back onto 422 East.
Derry Construction Company out of Latrobe will handle the work on both projects. The $14.5 million project will wrap up this December.
