First responders remained busy on Wednesday.
After a garage fire in the early morning hours, Marion Center fire department would join Clymer, Cherryhill Township and Commodore fire fighters, The Indiana County and Hope Fire Department RIT teams and Citizens Ambulance on the scene of a structure fire on Hancock Street in Clymer Borough at 1:26 PM. Plumville firefighters were called into Marion Center fire department for standby detail.
Marion Center crews would also respond to a vehicle accident on Grove Chapel Road in Rayne Township at 11:45 last night. They were joined by Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police. No word if anyone was injured, but entrapment was reported.
Two other vehicle accidents were reported. One on Route 22 in Burrell Township that brought Black Lick and Blairsville firefighters out along with Citizens’ and State Police at 3:00 PM, and the other was on Oakland Avenue in White Township at 8:49 PM. Indiana fire association members were called out.
The 61st brush fire call of the year was reported yesterday as Creekside and Iselin/West Lebanon fire companies were sent to a fire on Prugh Road in Plumcreek Township in Armstrong County at 2:44 PM.
