Altoona won its fourth straight game, nipping Chesapeake 3-2 behind a two-run homer by Kervin Pichardo, in his first game back after recovering from an injury and catcher Aaron McKeithan’s run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. McKeithan and Termarr Johnson each had two hits and Jack Branigan had three. Wilber Dotel threw five shutout innings, striking out eight for the Curve.
