Tuesday night, the White Township Planning Commission gave conditional approval for a solar site on Warren Road.
While there are a lot of residential solar panels already in place in the township, this makes the first solar site of its kind to be brought to the area. The 81-acre property will accommodate eight acres worth of solar panels. Township Planning and Code Enforcement Officer John Major said there were some conditions that needed to be filled by ARM Group.
Once complete, the energy from the solar farm will be put into the power grid.
