The Indiana County Drug Task Force has taken a substantial amount of methamphetamine off the streets.
District Attorney Robert Manzi announced the arrest of 59-year-old Todd Stumpf of Derry, who now faces felony charges for possession with intent to deliver and related offenses. Authorities say Stumpf was transporting approximately two pounds of meth through Indiana County, with a final destination in neighboring Westmoreland County. The operation involved a coordinated effort by the Indiana County Drug Task Force, Blairsville and Indiana Borough Police, the Pennsylvania State Police K9 Unit, and the County Detective’s Bureau. Stumpf was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Robert S. Bell, with bail set at half a million dollars. He is currently being held at the Indiana County Jail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 21st.
Law enforcement officials say their efforts helped keep a large quantity of dangerous drugs out of the community.
