BASEBALL
The District 6 playoffs swing back into action today with a number of Heritage Conference teams on the field.
In Class A, the top four seeds play with three of the games featuring Heritage Conference teams. Top seed Northern Cambria tangles with Bishop Guilfoyle. Number two Homer-Center will contend with number seven Claysburg-Kimmel. Number three Blacklick Valley welcomes number six Conemaugh Valley, and the 4/5 matchup features Williamsburg at Juniata Valley.
There’s one Heritage Conference team in the Class AAA bracket, which resumes today. Number eight West Shamokin visits top seed Forest Hills.
All of the action begins at 4 PM.
SOFTBALL
Four Heritage Conference teams are playing today in the quarterfinals of the Class A softball tournament. Number eight Homer-Center visits Claysburg-Kimmel. Number seven Penns Manor travels to play number two Conemaugh Valley. Fifth-seeded Purchase Line matches up with Bishop McCort. The other game has number six Juniata Valley at number three Ferndale.
In AA, there’s one Heritage Conference team in action. Number six River Valley is at number three West Branch, with the winner to take on number two West Shamokin, the Heritage Conference champion.
In AAA, sixth-seeded Marion Center is on the road against third seed Westmont Hilltop.
