Today is the day to cast ballots for the 2025 primary election.
This year, the elections focus on the municipal races, including borough council, school board and township supervisor positions. Some local races of note include the Indiana School Board. Julia Trimarchi Cuccaro, Wenxi Schwab, Jim Shaffer, Eric Brocious, Quintina Thomas, Tom Harley and Michael Carnovale have cross-filed. The top four will advance to the general election in November.
River Valley Region 3 will also have a contested race, as Tracey Richards, Tawnya Satler and Nathan Baird are running for two ballot slots in November.
Nominees will also be selected for County Coroner, Register of Deeds/Recorder of Wills/Clerk of Orphans Court, and county treasurer, along with Commonwealth Court and PA Superior Court.
Polls open at 7:00 this morning and close at 8:00 tonight. Also, if you still have your mail-in ballot, you must get it to the courthouse by 8:00 PM for it to be counted.
