Carl W. Thompson, Jr., 62 of Torrance, PA, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. He was born September 15, 1962 in Greensburg, PA, the son of the late Carl Thompson and Dolores (Dunmire) Carr. Carl worked for buncher railcar services and union railroad. He was a member of the Derry Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed tinkering around in his garage, hunting, searching for morel mushrooms, beekeeping, canning and gardening. Carl could fix anything. He also loved his dogs.
He is survived by the love of his life, Mindy Trinclisti, Torrance, PA; son, Carl Thompson III & wife, Cassie, New Florence, PA; son, Steven Thompson & fiancé, Ashley, Mt. Pleasant, PA; son, Austin Hess & fiancé, Alexis, Latrobe, PA; daughter, Alyssa Trinclisti, Derry, PA; daughter, Ethel Trinclisti & significant other, Nathan, Armbrust, PA; daughter, Mary Trinclisti & significant other, Munti, Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren: Elijah, Emily, Calvin & Kendall; sister, Tammy Dixon; sister, Becky O’Neil; brother, Chris Thompson & wife, Dawn, many nieces & nephews and his dog, Tip. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathie Ann Thompson and his best dog, Zip.
The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 4-7 PM. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717 to help with final expenses.
