At the start of OTA’s yesterday, the current Steelers quarterback said he was happy to be the starter.
Mason Rudolph said it feels good to be “wanted” when speaking to reporters at OTAs yesterday. He also mentioned it’s “nothing new” regarding the “noise” around Aaron Rodgers and his potential signing. Rogers has still not made an announcement on his future, and it looks like the Steelers may be holding a spot for him in the Quarterback room for now. Rudolph was joined by Skylar Thompson and rookie Will Howard for the practice session.
Meanwhile, the Steelers are dealing with a potential holdout. TJ Watt skipped the first day of OTAs. NFL Network reported earlier in the offseason that the star pass rusher was looking for a new contract. DK Metcalf, Darius Slay and Isaac Seumalo also missed the session. No word if they will rejoin the team today.
