The PIAA baseball and softball playoffs get underway today at fields all over the state. In Baseball, Homer Center will start its run at First Commonwealth Bank Field taking on Carmichaels at 6:00 PM. The game will be heard on WCCS 101.1 FM, AM 1160 and WCCSRadio.com at 5:45 with the pre-game show.
Unfortunately, the PIAA has denied Renda Media’s request to do a video stream of the game, saying exclusive streaming rights went to Greene County Sports Network, as they are being paid through NFHS to do so, putting the game behind a paywall. Our Renda Digital TV YouTube channel will also carry the audio of today’s game.
The team Homer-Center Beat, Juniata Valley, will play Southern Fulton.
In Triple-A Baseball, Indiana High will host Bellefonte this afternoon at the White Township Rec complex. That game will be on Renda Digital TV starting at 3:45 with the pre-game show. The streaming coverage on WDADRadio.com is powered by Sobek Fitness and Force Turf Solutions.
Softball playoffs start today as well. In single-A, Purchase Line’s Red Dragons will head to New Castle to take on the Union Area Scots starting at noon. In double-A, West Shamokin will host Bentworth at 4:00 PM.
