Multiple fire departments were sent to the scene of a garage fire late this morning in Rayne Township.
Marion Center, Indiana, Clymer and Creekside fire departments, the RIT Team and Citizens’ Ambulance were sent by Indiana County 911 at 11:18 this morning to what was initially reported as a commercial fire along Route 119 North in Rayne Township. When crews arrived, they did not find a business on fire, but rather a three-car residential garage near Force, Incorporated. Fire officials say the structure was fully involved when crews arrived.
Crews were on the scene for cleanup and to keep the fire from spreading. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. A portion of Route 119 near the scene was blocked off to traffic while crews fought the fire.
