Indiana and Homer-Center have moved on to the state baseball quarterfinals and West Shamokin has earned a trip to the softball quarters after wins by all three teams on Monday.

It’s the third straight year for the Indians in the state Quad-A quarterfinals. Indiana will tangle with WPIAL third-place finisher Central Valley, a 3-2 winner over Cathedral Prep yesterday. It’ll be Thursday, site and time to be announced.
Homer-Center has made a habit of staging late-inning rallies all season long, but that wasn’t necessary in their Class A game against Carmichaels. Todd Marino has the story.
SOFTBALL
West Shamokin powered by Bentworth, 11-5, breaking open a 3-0 game with a five-run fourth inning to move into the state AA quarterfinals. Lean Mondi and Maddi Keirn each had three hits with a double and Keirn drove in three runs. Malena Stewart had two hits and also drove in three runs for the Wolves in a ten-hit attack.
West Shamokin will play South Williamsport, a 10-0 winner over Holy Redeemer, on Thursday.
