With a chance at a state championship on the line, Indiana and East Pennsboro are set to meet at Bellefonte’s Governor’s Park this afternoon in the state Quad-A semifinals, a year after Indiana came from behind to beat the Panthers, 6-5 in the quarterfinals.
WPIAL champion Indiana is 24-1 and East Pennsboro, the District 3 champ, is 24-0. Indians coach Dan Petroff says this is the game baseball fans want to see.
The other state semifinal features Pope John Paul II, the District 1 champion, against District 4 champion Montoursville. The state championship game will be played Friday at Penn State’s Medlar Field.
