TJ Watt was absent again yesterday on the second day of the three-day mandatory minicamp. He is negotiating a new contract as he heads into the final year of his current deal, which was signed in 2021.
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers put in his second day of work and continued the process of getting to know his coaches and teammates. Some of the men Rodgers is working with he already knows, including offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and quarterbacks coach Tom Arth, who was his QB coach in Green Bay years ago.
Smith is already enjoying the collaboration with Rodgers.
Arth says Rodgers is a complete quarterback, even at 41 years of age.
Wide receiver DK Metcalf worked out with Rodgers a few months ago in Los Angeles, and he says that even in that brief time with him, he learned a lot.
The Steelers have not said whether or not they’ll put in a full day today as minicamp comes to a close.
