Indiana county paid host this week to the board of directors for the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania.
At the commissioners meeting this week, Commissioner Sherene Hess announced that the board was coming to Indiana County. As Hess is the president of the CCAP board, she was able to bring its members to the area.
During their visit, the CCAP Board was able to see some of the best of Indiana County, with a reception hosted Wednesday night by the Jimmy Stewart Museum, and tours of Miller Fabrication in Homer City, the Blacklick Water Treatment Plant, and the new Mountains Behavioral Health Center at IRMC the following day.
CCAP advocates for the needs of all Pennsylvania counties, both rural and urban, and works closely with policymakers to develop solutions that address the unique challenges county governments face.
