One person was hurt in a crash on Thursday in Armstrong Township.
State police say the crash happened at 4:29 PM along a portion of Sportsman Club Road south of Boyer Boulevard. The driver, 31-year-old Cody Kirkwood of Marienville, failed to negotiate a left curve in the road. His car went off the east edge of the road, travelled through a grassy area and struck a stone culvert before going across a driveway and through a yard. The car then crashed into a vacant home. The house took on moderate structural damage.
Kirkwood had suspected minor injuries and was treated on-scene by Citizens’ Ambulance. Iselin/West Lebanon and Elderton fire departments assisted State Police on scene.
