In a sign that Joey Bart is ready to rejoin the team after recovering from a concussion, the Pirates yesterday designated backup catcher Brett Sullivan for assignment. The Bucs also ended the rehabilitation assignment for relief pitcher Dauri Moreta and added him to the forty-man roster, assigning him to Indianapolis. Moreta had Tommy John surgery in March of last year.
