YOUTH LEGION
Riley George was 4-for-4 and Brady Oakes was 3-for-3, and both had two doubles as S.W. Jack clobbered Young Township, 16-4. The Drillers broke the game open with a six-run third inning and sealed it with a five-run sixth. Danilo Macasaet and Mike Zimmerman each drove in three runs and Ben Cowburn and Jamison Miller each had two hits for S.W. Jack. David Orkwis led Young Township with two hits and three RBIs.
The Drillers will play Armstrong tonight.
SENIOR LEGION
Homer City Post 493 scored in five of six innings at the plate in a 6-1 win over Lower Burrell. Grayden Rado had two of Homer City’s six hits and Devlan Kordish and Jon Cribbs combined for the win on the mound. Kordish went five innings and gave up one run, in the fifth, while Cribbs threw two hitless shutout innings as the Bearcats picked up their third win of the season.
Post 493 will play Latrobe tonight at First Commonwealth Bank Field.
