Blairsville Little League went to bat for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive with a fund-raising event.
Despite the rain, people gathered at Ray Crawford Field in Blairsville on the 14th for the annual Benefit Day. The event featured multiple baseball and softball games, as well as a concession stand and a basket raffle. In an interview on Indiana in the Morning, Katie Chapla, an organizer of the event, said that not only does the event benefit charity, but it gives kids an opportunity to remain active during the summer months.
She went on to say that the event is a team effort, and it takes everyone to make it happen.
The event raised a total of $3,585.
