In Senior Legion baseball on Wednesday, Hempfield East scored the first five runs and knocked off Homer City Post 493, 5-1. Six of the Bulldogs’ nine hits came from the bottom three hitters in the order as they scored twice in the second inning, once in the third, and twice in the fifth. Homer City was held to four hits, singles by Braden Dunn, Hunter Kunkle, Jon Cribbs, and Devlan Kordish.
Post 493 will play Bushy Run today at IUP’s Owen J. Dougherty Field.
