Nick Cimillo’s two-run double to deep center broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning as Altoona topped Chesapeake, 4-2. The Curve had taken a 2-0 lead on Wyatt Hendrie’s two-run homer in the third. Termarr Johnson had two hits, including a two-out bunt single to set up Cimillo’s double.
It was a bullpen game for the Curve, with the win going to Justin Meis, who threw an inning and two-thirds of scoreless relief. Wilkin Ramos tossed a perfect ninth inning for his third save.
