Homer City Post 493 came roaring back from a 10-0 deficit to down Unity Legion 12-10 on Friday. Unity scored eight runs in the second inning and two in the third before Homer City posted three in the third, six in the fourth, and three in the fifth to complete the comeback.
Seven players accounted for all seven of Homer City’s hits, and Nico Vadala and Dom Shimko each drove in two runs, Jace Misko pitched four innings of two-hit shutout relief to get the win, while Unity banged out fifteen hits in the game. Both teams fumbled the ball in the field, with Unity committing seven errors and Homer City six.
Post 493 is 5-6 and will take today off before playing a doubleheader at Young Township on Sunday.
