One of the two people in a chase last year in Indiana and Armstrong Counties will serve time in Indiana County Jail.
Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco yesterday ordered 31-year-old Rehny Little of Homestead to serve four months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail for theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy to that crime. The sentences will run concurrently. She was involved in the theft of a car at the Indiana Walmart on Oakland Avenue on August 30th along with 35-year-old Michael Pucciarelli of Pittsburgh. The two were seen driving the stolen car West on Route 422 by police when a chase started.
Police were not successful in using PIT maneuvers to stop the vehicle, and one of those attempts resulted in the stolen car being spun around and the two started back towards Indiana County. After a tire was deflated using a spike strip, Pucciarelli and Little intentionally rammed another police car. The chase came to an end when two officers used their vehicles to pin the suspects against a guiderail. Pucciarelli had to be subdued using a taser.
Back in February, Pucciarelli pleaded guilty to fleeing and conspiracy to theft, and was ordered to serve up to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail along with three years of probation.
