Alma Pearl (Hollenbaugh) Rhine, aged 107, of Homer City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 29, 2025, in her home.
She was born on April 27, 1918, in Punxsutawney, to the late Albert and Amanda Pearl (Wolff) Hollenbaugh.
Alma was a member of the Luciusboro Methodist Church, she enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning, making the best pickles in all of Indiana County.
Surviving Alma are her children Kenneth (Donna) Rhine of Homer City, Lawson Rhine of Homer City, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Jean Rhine of Strongstown, numerous nieces and nephews and her special caregivers Connie and Linda.
Besides her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Rhine, her children Harvey Rhine, Sr., and Joan A. Ewing, grandchildren Michael Rhine, and Barbara Rhine Kotelnicki, daughter-in-law Carol Rhine, and siblings A. Dale Hollenbaugh, Lawson Hollenbaugh, Harry David “HD” Hollenbaugh, Margaret Parsley, Mary Little and Lois McCullough.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 4-7 PM in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where services will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 11 AM with Pastor William Fish officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Valley Cemetery, Brush Valley, PA.
