Pirates minor league stars Konnor Griffin and Esmerlyn Valdez will play for the National league in the All-Star Futures Game on July 12th in Atlanta. Griffin is only 19 years old. He’s hitting .343 with 12 home runs and 48 RBIs in 67 games at Greensboro and Bradenton this season. The 21-year-old Valdez is batting .305 with 20 home runs and 57 RBIs at Greensboro.
