The Penguins’ Kyle Dubas continues to reshape his roster, yesterday signing four more players, including two former number one draft choices.
Forward Anthony Mantha is a ten-year veteran who was the Red Wings’ top pick in 2013. He’s coming off knee surgery that limited him to thirteen games with Calgary last season.
Defenseman Alex Alexeyev was the Capitals’ top pick in 2018. He was a healthy scratch for 71 games with the Caps last season, appearing in only eight games, but playing ten games in the postseason.
Mantha and Alexeyev signed one-year contracts.
Forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard signed a one-year two-way contract. He comes from the Montreal Canadiens’ system, while defenseman Phil Kemp signed a two-year two-way deal after playing the last five years in the Edmonton system.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier re-signed with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Defenseman P. O. Joseph left the Penguins to sign with Vancouver.
