Altoona’s six-game winning streak was snapped Saturday night by Harrisburg, which scored all four of its runs in the second inning of a 4-1 Senators win.
Curve starter Wilbur Dotel surrendered three straight hits at the start of the second to make it 2-0, and after an error on a sacrifice bunt, Viandel Pena cleared the bases with a triple to make it 4-0.
Altoona was limited to a hit and three walks in the first six innings before Omar Alfonzo homered in the seventh. Alfonzo was promoted to AA on Tuesday and it was his second home run in a Curve uniform, his twelfth of the season overall between Greensboro and Altoona.
The series concludes today at 1:00 in Harrisburg with lefthander Blake Townsend on the mound for the Curve.
