The Pirates woes on the road continued last night with their seventh straight loss, this time to the Minnesota Twins. Joe Block reports.
The Pirates and Twins play again this afternoon with Mike Burrows starting for the Bucs. He is 1-2 on the season with a 3.63 ERA. Minnesota may be countering with a bullpen day, as they have not named a starter. You can hear the game starting at 1:45 on WCCS with the first pitch coming at 2:10.
Before yesterday’s game, the Pirates shuffled the roster once again. The team promoted pitcher Yohan Ramierez from Triple-A Indianapolis. To make room for him, utility man Matt Gorski was designated for assignment and Jared Triolo was optioned to Triple-A.
