The Indiana Junior League Softball All-Stars continued their dominance in tournament play with a 10-0 mercy rule victory over Burkett yesterday at the Regional tournament.
The win was fueled by a six-run fourth inning that included RBI singles from Paisley Wolff, Evie Grantz, Claire Brewer, and a three-run homer to Center Field from Sophia Thomas. Ella Worthington, Sophia Boyer and Samantha Martin also had RBI’s in the first inning. Martin was the starting pitcher and surrendered only four hits in five innings of work, allowing one walk and striking out five.
Indiana will play New Jersey tonight.
