Indiana Borough is getting ready to hold some public participation sessions concerning the 8th Street Corridor project.
The borough is working with IUP, the county office of planning and development and a few IUP student groups on transforming 8th Street from the Campus to the Downtown area into a “vibrant, welcoming linear space that seamlessly connects campus life with the energy of downtown,” according to a statement from the borough. The plan has been a part of the recent comprehensive plan for Indiana Borough and the University’s long-range master plan.
As part of that, a two-day workshop is being planned for September 25th at The Artist Hand and the 26th at Philly Street Candle Bar. Borough Manager Nicole Sipos said this will give not just locals a chance to take part, but students as well.
The tentative schedule will have the events running all day at both locations. More details can be found on the borough’s website.
