A man serving time in prison for sexually assaulting a child is due in court today for a post-conviction relief act hearing.
Court documents show 56-year-old Michael Ellis Stiles of Waynesburg out of Greene County will go before Judge Michael Clark this morning for the hearing. Stiles pleaded guilty in September of 2022 to charges of involuntary deviant sexual assault of someone under 16, statutory sexual assault, aggravated assault and indecent assault of someone under 16. Charges were initially filed after the victim reported to an adult that Stiles had sexually assaulted them on several occasions between July of 2021 and April of 2022.
He was ordered to serve six and a half to 17 years in prison and three years of probation after that for all counts and must register as a Megan’s Law offender for the rest of his life.
