A man currently serving time in prison was in court yesterday for a sentencing hearing on charges connected with events while behind bars.
Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco ordered 20-year-old Karon Jones of Wilmerding to serve one to three years in state prison for a guilty plea to Aggravated Harassment by Prisoner in one case. In the other case, he was sentenced to one to three years in state prison for a count of aggravated harassment and to six months for simple assault. Judge Bianco ordered the sentences to run concurrently to each other and to the time already served.
Jones was serving time in state prison already for assault and robbery charges related to an incident in 2022 in Allegheny County.
