State Senator Joe Pittman says the Pennsylvania budget process is now down to “crunch time”.
The budget is now officially one month overdue, with issues like the regulation of skill games and the final spend number remaining major sticking points. Senator Pittman says it is getting close, but there is still some time to get a proper spending plan in place.
While progress has been made in his opinion, he feels that nothing is official until everything is approved. He added that unlike the federal government, the budget must balance and the issue cannot be “kicked down the road”.
While budget discussions continue, there are no voting sessions scheduled for the Senate or House in the immediate future.
