Altoona scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to overtake Richmond, 7-5. Duce Gourson hit a three-run home run to lead the rally, one of his three hits. Termarr Johnson had three hits and Nick Cimmillo had two hits, including a home run.
The win puts the Curve up by two-and-a-half games over the Flying Squirrels for first place in the second half standings of the Eastern League Southwest Division.
