Thomas Dean Foster, 80, of Brush Valley, passed away on August 12, 2025, at St. Andrew’s Village in Indiana. He was born on September 17, 1944, in Brush Valley to Henry and Leona Foster.
Tom graduated from United High School in 1963 and married Velma Harper on October 12, 1973. He worked at FMC and attended Brush Valley United Methodist Church. Tom loved gardening and was known for canning spaghetti sauce for his family. He also enjoyed visiting West Virginia to attend the Harper Family Reunion in Seneca. His happiest moments were spent sitting on his porch, enjoying the Brush Valley breeze with his special poodle, Princess.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Tuorinsky and her husband, Damon; son, Craig Foster and his wife, Loralee “Loree”; grandsons, Brent Tuorinsky and his fiancée, McKenna; Evan Tuorinsky and his girlfriend, Janelle; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte. He leaves behind siblings Glen Foster, Fred Foster, Don Foster and his wife, Susan, Barb Joseph, Dale Foster and his wife, Sue, as well as cousin, Wendell Hill. Additionally, he is survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including Norman Harper and his wife, Donna; Darius Harper; Vonnie Boyer and her husband, Gary; Duane Harper and his wife, Valerie; Laurie Delaney and her husband, Chris; Dave Harper and his wife, Tracy; Ron Harper and his friend Louise; Jerry Harper; Sharon Kuntz and her husband, Jack; Jeff Harper and his wife, Jewel; Brian Harper and his wife, Kara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Velma, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Foster and his wife, Lois; his sisters-in-law, Yvonne Foster and Sylvia Foster; his brother-in-law, Rich Joseph; and his cousin, Bill Hill. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dwight Harper and his wife, Terri Harper; and his brother-in-law, Garry Hallman.
