One of the main concerns as of late has been the lack of a state budget, which is now seven weeks overdue. IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll said that the University is in good shape.
He also mentioned how IUP has become an adaptable university over it’s 150-year history. Driscoll said it takes everyone at the university to remain that way.
The presentation also featured a very brief history of the university presented by Faculty Emeritus David Piper and a performance of Amazing Grace by the IUP Marching Band.
Returning students will move in this weekend, and IUP has planned a 150th Anniversary carnival event for the KCAC Parking Lot at 5:00 PM on Saturday. Classes start Monday.
